attendees at the opening night of an art exhibit featuring works by Amy Lin (CIT

October 21, 2007 -- A half dozen children and their parents enjoyed the pumpkins

"O Hot Dogs Happy Hour - Arlington, VA
October 16, 2007 -- Remember the Original Hot Dog Shop in Oakland? More than 20
alumni enjoyed reminiscing about the "O" hot dogs (ranked 4th best in the U.S.
in 2001). Thanks to Season Dietrich (Heinz 2001, H&SS 2001) for organizing this
fun event.
Sustainable Design Discussion Panel -
Washington, DC
October 14, 2007 -- On a sunny Sunday afternoon, more than 60 alumni attended an
interesting and timely panel discussion about sustainable design for homes. The
panelists included professor Stephen Lee (School of Architecture), professor Bob
Bingham (School of Art), and assistant professor Mark Baskinger (School of
Design). Afterwards, the group moved to the National Mall to get a first-hand
tour of the school's entry in the Solar Decathlon event. Thanks to David
Vurdelja (H&SS 1987) for organizing the alumni attendance at the panel
discussion.

Theater at Wolf Trap - Vienna, VA
August 21, 2007 -- A half dozen alumni enjoyed an evening of classical ballet

Yacht Cruise on the Potomac River -
Washington, DC
June 23, 2007 -- What happens when Carnegie Mellon teams up with MIT? More than
50 Carnegie Mellon alumni plus guests socialized on the open top deck of a yacht
which cruised by the monuments, National Mall, Kennedy Center, and Georgetown.

June 5, 2007 -- Nearly 40 alumni and friends watched the Pirates hold on to
